Handprint Black Cat

Turn your little one’s handprint into a purr-fect Halloween black cat. This fun craft is simple, spooky-cute and a sweet keepsake of those tiny hands.

You’ll Need:

  • Black construction paper or cardstock
  • Googly eyes
  • Glue stick
  • Scissors
  • Black marker or crayon

Let’s Make it:

  1. Place your child’s hand on black paper and trace around it. Cut out the shape — this will be the cat’s body and legs.
  2. Cut out a circle for the head and two small triangles for ears. Glue them above the thumb side of the handprint.
  3. Cut a thin tail and glue it to the back. Add googly eyes, draw a nose, mouth and whiskers with a marker (or cut thin paper strips for 3D whiskers).
  4. Use a black crayon or marker to color the paw tips and outline the ears and your spooky cat is ready.

Why We Love It:

  • Turns your child’s handprint into a keepsake full of personality.
  • Encourages creativity with silly, spooky, or sweet cat expressions.
  • A sweet way to spend family time making something festive together.
