Spooky Cotton Ball Ghost

This craft is super simple, perfect for little hands and makes a fun decoration for doors, walls or windows.

You’ll Need:

  • Cardboard (cut into a ghost shape)
  • Cotton balls
  • Glue stick or liquid glue
  • Black construction paper (for eyes and mouth)
  • Scissors

Let’s Make it:

  1. Cut out a ghost shape from the cardboard and spread glue across the top. Gently press cotton balls over the surface until your ghost looks soft and fluffy and let it dry.
  2. Cut out oval eyes and a spooky mouth from black paper, then glue them onto your fluffy ghost to bring it to life.

Why We Love It:

  • Perfect for little kids—easy, soft and mess-free.
  • Encourages fine motor skills with gluing and placing cotton balls.
  • Encourages creativity — every ghost gets its own unique face and expression.
  • Doubles as homemade Halloween décor.

Creative Tips:

  • Add a popsicle stick to the bottom to turn your ghost into a spooky puppet for pretend play.
  • Glue a string or ribbon on top and hang it in the window for a floating ghost effect.
  • Try making a whole ghost family — big, small, scary and silly ones.
  • Use glow-in-the-dark paper for the eyes to make it extra spooky at night.
