Cotton Swab Rain Clouds

When it rains outside, make your own cozy clouds indoors—perfect for little hands on a gray afternoon.

You’ll Need:

  • Blue foam paper (or blue cardstock)
  • White foam paper (for clouds)
  • Cotton swabs (Q-tips)
  • Black marker
  • Glue
  • Scissors

Let’s Make it:

  1. Draw and cut out cloud shapes from the white foam paper, then outline them with a black marker.
  2. Cut just the cotton tips off the swabs to create little raindrops.
  3. Glue the clouds across the top of your blue foam paper, then add the cotton swab “rain” falling below each cloud. Let it dry and your rainy-day masterpiece is ready.
