Pom-Pom Christmas Tree

This activity is perfect for little hands — simple to make, fun to do and sure to bring holiday cheer to any space.

You’ll Need:

  • Green, red, and sparkly pom-poms (various sizes)
  • Brown foam paper or cardstock (for the trunk)
  • Red ribbon or string
  • Scissors
  • Glue

Let’s Make it:

  1. Cut out a tree trunk shape from brown foam paper or cardstock and glue it onto your background.
  2. Arrange and glue green pom-poms in a triangle shape above the trunk to form your tree.
  3. Add red or sparkly pom-poms as ornaments to decorate your tree.
  4. Finish by gluing or looping a red ribbon around the pom-poms to make it look like garland.

Why We Love It:

  • A fun, low-prep way to introduce the joy of Christmas crafting.
  • Encourages patience and careful attention as little ones take their time building and decorating each layer of their tree.
  • The finished tree makes a cheerful handmade decoration everyone will love.
