Hanging Christmas Tree Forest Garland

Make your own mini Christmas tree forest—perfect for keeping little hands busy on quiet days indoors.

You’ll Need:

  • Green construction paper
  • Scissors
  • String or yarn
  • Glue
  • A wooden stick or cardboard strip for hanging

Let’s Make it:

  1. Fold your green paper in half and cut out simple Christmas tree shapes. Open them up and glue three tree pieces together to create a 3D tree, keeping one side open.
  2. Cut 4–6 pieces of string and glue your 3D trees along each one. Close the final flap of each tree so it holds the string inside once dry.
  3. Attach all the strings to a wooden stick or a decorated cardboard strip, then hang your forest garland on the wall.

Why We Love It:

  • Sweet way to slow down and enjoy a cozy craft together on quiet days.
  • Easy to personalize with colours, patterns and decorations.
  • A peaceful, screen-free activity that keeps your kid happily engaged.
