Curled Paper Plate Cat

Turn a simple paper plate into an own sleepy kitty while building creativity and imagination.

You’ll Need:

  • 1–2 paper plates
  • Scissors
  • Crayons, markers or paint
  • Glue or tape
  • White paper for whiskers

Let’s Make it:

  1. Take one paper plate and cut it as if you’re dividing it into two halves—but stop just before reaching the rim. Then curve your cut downward to form a rounded tail shape. This will make the cat’s body with a curled tail at the end.
  2. From the second plate cut out a circle for the cat’s head, two triangle for the ears and two small ovals for its legs.
  3. On the head circle, draw eyes, a nose and a mouth. Cut thin strips of white paper for whiskers and glue them near the nose.
  4. To assemble the cat glue the head to one end of the curled plate body, the ears and the two legs underneath. Let it dry, then color your cat however you like.
