Paper Plate Chicken

This paper plate chicken is a cluck-tastic addition to your farm animal crafts. Using simple shapes and colors, your little one can create their very own happy chicken.

You’ll Need:

  • 1 paper plate
  • Red and yellow paper
  • Googly eye
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick
  • Black marker

Let’s Make it:

  1. Cut a paper plate in half — this will be your chicken’s body (keep the other half as you will need it for the tail).
  2. Cut a yellow triangle for the beak and a red comb shape for the top of the head. Then cut a small red oval and glue it just under the beak — that’s the wattle! Glue all three pieces to one end of the cut plate.
  3. Cut a feathered tail from the leftover plate and glue it to the opposite end, than add two yellow paper legs underneath.
  4. For the finishing touches, glue on a googly eye and add a simple wing outline to the side of your chicken’s body.
