Handprint Easter Chick

This sweet craft is simple, cheerful and makes a keepsake you’ll want to tuck away forever.

You’ll Need:

  • Washable yellow or orange paint
  • Black and red markers (or paint)
  • White paper or cardstock
  • Paintbrush

Let’s Make it:

  1. Paint your child’s hand and press it onto the paper with fingers spread wide — this becomes the chick’s fluffy feathers. Let it dry.
  2. Bring the Chick to Life: Add a round head, beak, eye, comb, tiny legs and draw a small wing on the palm area.Make a few colorful Easter eggs around the chick
  3. Make a few colorful Easter eggs around the chick — the brighter, the better and your Easter chick is ready.

Why We Love It:

  • A calm, quiet activity that’s perfect for Easter week or a cozy afternoon at home.
  • No fancy supplies needed — just paint, paper and imagination.
  • And the best part? Next Easter, that little hand will be a bit bigger — and you’ll be glad you kept it.
