Carton Dot Matching Game

A playful way to explore colours, patterns and problem-solving.

You’ll Need:

  • Carton (cut into strips)
  • Felt tip pens (in different colors)
  • Scissors

Let’s Make It:

  1. Cut long strips of carton. Use felt tip pens to paint colorful dots in a row down the middle of each strip.
  2. Snip each strip in half so they become matching pieces.
  3. Lay the pieces out and let your kid match the dots to complete each strip.

Why We Love It:

  • Strengthens color recognition and visual memory.
  • Builds early problem-solving and matching skills.
  • Encourages focus and persistence as kids complete the patterns.

Creative Tips:

  • Use rainbow colors to make the game extra cheerful.
  • Make extra sets and mix them up so your child has to find the correct matches across multiple strips.
  • Try drawing small shapes (stars, hearts, triangles) inside the dots for an extra matching challenge.
