Paper Plate Sheep

Get ready for some fluffy fun. Your kid will love gluing cotton balls to make a woolly coat while learning about one of the friendliest farm animals!

You’ll Need:

  • 1 paper plate
  • Cotton balls
  • Black paper (for the sheep’s face)
  • Googly eyes
  • Scissors
  • Glue stick

Let’s Make it:

  1. Cover your paper plate with glue and stick cotton balls all over it until it’s nice and fluffy.
  2. Cut a sheep’s face shape from black paper and glue it slightly below the center of the plate.
  3. Stick on two googly eyes and let your sheep dry before showing it off!

Why We Love It:

  • Encourages creativity through texture and tactile play.
  • Teaches kids about farm animals and where wool comes from.
  • Quick, mess-free and satisfying for little hands.
  • Promotes focus and patience while filling the plate with “wool.”

Creative tips:

  • Add a small paper bow or flower to give your sheep personality.
  • Turn it into a puppet—glue a craft stick to the back!
  • Make a full farmyard set with your paper plate cow, pig, goat, donkey and chicken.
