Tissue Paper Rainbow

When the sky feels gray, make your own rainbow — a simple way to fill your day with color and laughter.

You’ll Need:

  • Tissue paper in rainbow colors (red, orange, yellow, green, blue, purple)
  • White paper or cardstock
  • Pencil (for drawing the rainbow outline)
  • Glue stick or liquid glue

Let’s Make it:

  1. Draw a large rainbow outline on your paper.
  2. Tear or cut small pieces of tissue paper and crumple them into tiny balls.
  3. Glue the tissue paper balls along each arc of the rainbow, filling it in with color from one end to the other.

Why We Love It:

  • Brings instant color and joy to any rainy day.
  • Strengthens fine motor skills through tearing, rolling, and gluing.
  • Encourages focus and patience as kids fill in each color band.
  • Sparks conversations about colors, weather, and nature’s beauty.
