Thankful Turkey Handprint

Turn little hands into lasting memories with this adorable craft. It’s a fun way to spark creativity, share what you’re thankful for and create a keepsake you’ll cherish year after year.

You’ll Need:

  • White cardstock or thick paper
  • Brown paint
  • Paintbrush
  • Fall-colored feathers
  • Googly eye
  • Red marker or paper (for the wattle)
  • Glue
  • Black marker

Let’s Make it:

  1. Paint your child’s hand with brown paint and press it onto the paper — the thumb becomes the head and the fingers form the body. Let it dry completely.
  2. Glue on a googly eye, draw a beak and add a red wattle with the marker or paper piece.
  3. Glue colorful fall feathers behind the handprint to create a fluffy tail.
  4. Write “I Am Thankful For You!” across the top — the sweetest message of all.

Why We Love It:

  • Encourages thankfulness and reflection in a fun, hands-on way.
  • Strengthens fine-motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
  • Makes a meaningful keepsake for parents and grandparents to treasure.
  • A cozy, heart-warming project to do together on a fall afternoon.
