Thanksgiving Pumpkin Truck

Thanksgiving is all about pumpkins, cozy days and counting blessings and this happy little truck craft is a fun way for kids to celebrate the season and share what they’re thankful for while creating something festive.

You’ll Need:

  • Colored craft sticks
  • Colored vinyl sheets (for wheels and pumpkins)
  • Glue stick or white glue
  • Scissors
  • Markers or crayons
  • Black paper for background

Let’s Make it:

  1. Start  by gluing three colorful craft sticks side by side on your background paper to build the truck’s body.
  2. To make the cab, cut a craft stick in half. Glue one piece vertically for the front window edge, another diagonally for the slanted back and a small piece across the top for the roof. Once dry, draw simple white window lines for a glass-like look.
  3. Cut out two round wheels for each truck and one pumpkin shape from orange vinyl and stick them in place to load up your truck for harvest.

Why We Love It:

  • Encourages creativity and storytelling as your kid imagine where their truck is driving this fall.
  • Strengthens fine motor skills with gluing, layering and adding tiny details.
  • A warm, hands-on way to explore gratitude and harvest season through art.
