Spring Blossom Handprint Tree

Turn little hands into blooming branches — a craft that captures the beauty of spring and childhood.

You’ll Need:

  • White cardstock or thick paper
  • Washable paint (brown for the tree)
  • Tissue paper (pink, purple, red, green)
  • Glue stick or liquid glue
  • Paintbrush

Let’s Make it:

  1. Paint your child’s hand with brown paint and press it firmly onto the paper to create the tree’s trunk and branches. Let it dry.
  2. Next, cut or tear spring-colored tissue paper into small squares and gently crumple each one into tiny balls.
  3. Spread glue over the top of the handprint and let your little one press the colorful tissue blossoms in place to fill the tree with blooms.
  4. Finish by adding bright green grass and cheerful flowers at the bottom to complete your beautiful spring scene.

Why We Love It:

  • Sparks creativity while teaching about the beauty and renewal of spring.
  • A calm, screen-free activity that invites mindful focus and hands-on connection.
  • A wonderful mix of sensory play, art, and nature exploration.
  • Captures your child’s handprint in a beautiful spring memory.
