Mirror Letter Match

This simple mirror activity helps little learners discover letters in a calm, playful way.

You’ll Need:

  • A child-safe floor mirror (secured against a wall)
  • Foam letters
  • A shallow plate or tray with a little water (to make foam letters lightly sticky)
  • Open floor space

Let’s Make it:

  1. Make sure the mirror is placed securely against the wall and spread the letters on the floor.
  2. Invite your child to pick a letter, name it together, dip it in a little water to make it sticky and match it onto the mirror.
  3. Repeat with more letters, encouraging your little munchkin to name the sounds.

Why We Love It:

  • Supports letter recognition and early literacy through hands-on, playful learning.
  • Encourages movement, focus and active engagement away from screens.
  • Builds confidence as kids see themselves successfully matching and naming letters.
  • Turns simple materials into a meaningful, low-prep learning experience at home.
