Finger Counting Bands

Hands-on counting made extra fun! It’s a simple yet brilliant way to learn numbers, strengthen fine motor control and stay focused.

You’ll Need:

  • Cardstock
  • Marker or pen
  • Scissors
  • Small colorful hairbands

Let’s Make it:

  1. Trace your  hand on a piece of  cardstock and cut it out.
  2. Write numbers 1–5 on each finger tip using bold, clear digits.
  3. Give your little one a handful of small, colorful hairbands. Invite them to slide one band onto the first finger, two onto the second, three onto the third—and continue all the way to five!

Why We Love It:

  • Builds number recognition and counting skills.
  • Improves fine motor coordination as kids stretch and slide rings onto fingers.
  • Makes number sequencing visual and easy to grasp.
