Apple Pencil Topper

Nothing says back-to-school like apples and creativity — let’s craft a pencil topper that’s as sweet as learning itself.

You’ll Need:

  • Red craft paper
  • Green paper (for leaf)
  • Brown paper (for stem)
  • Pencil
  • Glue stick or liquid glue
  • Scissors

Let’s Make it:

  1. Cut out 5–6 identical apple shapes from red craft paper — just like cutting hearts, but with a little dip in at the top to make that apple curve. Fold each apple in half, then glue them back-to-back to form a 3D apple that pops open beautifully.
  2. Cut a little green leaf and a short brown stem, then glue them to the top of your apple.
  3. Slide the pencil through the middle of your apple while the glue is still slightly wet. As it dries, the glue will hold the pencil snugly in place, keeping your 3D apple topper secure and ready for writing fun

Why We Love It:

  • A cheerful, hands-on way to celebrate the start of a new school year.
  • Encourages creativity while giving everyday school supplies a personal touch.
  • Sparks excitement about learning and getting ready for school.
  • Teaches patience and sequencing as kids layer and build their 3D apple.
