DIY Back-to-School Backpack

Bring a little classroom magic to your craft table and make back-to-school memories together.

You’ll Need:

  • Craft foam sheets (brown, yellow, orange or any colors you like)
  • Scissors
  • Glue
  • Marker or black pen (for details)
  • Small embellishments (like paper flowers, buttons or stickers)

Let’s Make it:

  1. Start by cutting out a big rectangle with a rounded top — that’s your backpack’s main shape.
  2. Next, cut two smaller rectangles for the front pocket and flap, then glue them in place to build your backpack’s “look.”
  3. Cut out two long strips of ribbon or paper to make the shoulder straps, and glue or tape them to the back. Finally, use a marker to draw fun stitching lines around the edges, and decorate the pocket with a paper flower or your child’s favorite sticker for that extra special touch.

Why We Love It:

  • Encourages creativity and fine motor skills.
  • Fun way to get kids excited for school.
  • Easy to personalize with different colors and decorations.
