DIY Snow Sensory Bin

Bring the frozen Arctic indoors with this simple mix. It feels cool, squishy and moldable—just like real snow.

You’ll Need:

  • 4 cups baking soda
  • 4 cups shaving foam (unscented works best)
  • A large bin or tray
  • Arctic animal figurines (penguins, polar bears, seals, etc.)

Let’s Make it:

  1. In a large bin, pour the baking soda. Slowly add the shaving foam and mix together with your hands until you get a fluffy, snow-like texture.
  2. Spread the DIY snow evenly across the bin. Add Arctic animal figurines to create a snowy habitat.
  3. Let your little one dig, scoop and bury the animals, pretending they’re exploring the icy Arctic.

Why We Love It:

  • Easy to make with just two ingredients.
  • Feels soft and fluffy, giving your kid a real snow experience indoors.
  • Encourages imaginative play and storytelling with animal figures.
