Eggs-tra Special Dad

This handprint craft is a “cluck-tastic” keepsake straight from the heart and farm-fresh surprise that shows Dad he is truly eggs-tra special.

You’ll Need:

  • White cardstock or thick paper
  • Washable paint (brown, tan or grey) and a paintbrush
  • Yarn (yellow or cream/green) for the nest
  • Glue stick or white glue
  • Markers (red, orange and black)

Let’s Make it:

  1. Paint your little one’s hand and press it onto the paper with fingers pointing up — those tiny fingers will become the hen’s feathery wings. Let it dry.
  2. Use markers to draw a bright beak, red comb and a tiny eye. Write “You’re Eggs-tra Special, Dad!” above the handprint to make it extra special and heartfelt.
  3. Cut short pieces of yarn and glue them under the handprint so your hen has a soft place to sit.

Why We Love It:

  • A heartwarming keepsake that captures your child’s tiny handprint.
  • Encourages creativity, coordination and storytelling.
  • Combines art, humor and love in one adorable Father’s Day surprise.
