My Canadian Moose

Get crafty and celebrate Canada Day with a cheerful moose that’s as cute as it is creative.

You’ll Need:

  • 5 popsicle sticks (brown or paint them brown)
  • Tan and light brown foam sheets (for antlers, ears and muzzle)
  • Googly eyes
  • Black and pink craft paper or foam (for nose and cheeks)
  • Glue stick or child-safe glue
  • Black marker

Let’s Make it:

  1. Line up five popsicle sticks side by side and glue them together to form the moose’s head.
  2. Cut out antlers, ears and a muzzle from tan and light brown foam, then glue them in place.
  3. Add googly eyes, a small black nose and pink cheeks. Finish with a smile using a black marker and your happy Canadian moose is ready.

Why We Love It:

  • A fun way to celebrate Canada’s wildlife while sneaking in early science and art learning.
  • Easy to set up and uses simple materials you likely already have at home.
  • Boosts confidence as kids proudly see their creation come to life.
