Puffy Rain Clouds

Some days are meant for cozy play, calm hands and art that feels as soft as a cloud.

You’ll Need:

  • White shaving cream
  • White school glue
  • Blue food coloring
  • Small bowl and spoon or craft stick for mixing
  • White cardstock or thick paper
  • Paintbrush or craft stick

Let’s Make it:

  1. In a bowl, mix equal parts shaving cream and glue to make your puffy paint base.
  2. Divide the mixture into two bowls—add gray food coloring to one for clouds and blue to the other for rain.
  3. Use a craft stick or brush to spread the gray puffy paint across the top of your paper for clouds, then dab blue raindrops falling below. Let it dry—it’ll stay soft and fluffy.

Why We Love It:

  • Easy setup using simple materials found at home.
  • Builds fine motor skills and hand–eye coordination.
  • Feels soothing and satisfying for little hands.
  • Turns a gray day into a moment of wonder and learning.
