Thanksgiving Gratitude Tree

Celebrate the season of thankfulness with this lovely Gratitude Tree – a meaningful craft that helps kids reflect on what they’re grateful for while creating a beautiful Thanksgiving decoration.

You’ll Need:

  • A jar or vase
  • Dry branches or twigs
  • Orange beads, beans, or popcorn kernels (to fill the base)
  • Construction paper or foam sheets in fall colors (red, orange, yellow, green)
  • Scissors
  • Hole punch
  • String or yarn
  • Markers or pens

Let’s Make it:

  1. Fill your jar with orange beads, beans or popcorn kernels to hold the branches in place and stick the branches upright in the jar.
  2. Cut out leaf shapes from your colored paper and punch a hole at the top of each one.
  3. On each leaf, write something you’re thankful for — family, friends, cozy beds or even pancakes.
  4. Tie a piece of string through each leaf and hang them on the branches to build your Gratitude Tree.

Why We Love It:

  • Encourages your kid to reflect on gratitude and kindness in a meaningful, hands-on way.
  • Creates a warm family tradition and a lovely seasonal centerpiece.
  • Promotes mindfulness and appreciation for everyday blessings.
