Turkey Wreath

There’s nothing sweeter than a cozy afternoon spent crafting together — It’s about slowing down, building memories and feeling thankful for every moment.

You’ll Need:

  • White cardstock or construction paper
  • Paint in fall colors (red, orange, yellow, brown)
  • Paintbrush
  • Googly eyes
  • Glue
  • Scissors
  • Carton (for the wreath base)
  • Leaves

Let’s Make it:

  1. Paint your child’s hands in bright fall colors and make several handprints on paper. Then, make one footprint in brown — this will become your turkey later. Let everything dry completely before cutting out the prints.
  2. Cut out a large circle from sturdy cardboard or a carton sheet — this will be your wreath base. Arrange the leaves and handprints all around it and glue them down.
  3. Use the brown footprint as the turkey’s body and the finger section of 3 colorful handprints as its feathers. Glue them together, add googly eyes, a beak and a wattle and your turkey is ready to join the wreath.

Why We Love It:

  • Turns a cozy afternoon into a moment of connection, creativity and giggles with mom and dad.
  • Teaches sequencing and following steps as you build the wreath step by step.
  • Encourages patience while waiting for their prints to dry — because good things take time.
