Snowflake Slime

Turn a chilly day into a magical sensory play with homemade winter slime.

You’ll Need:

  • Glue or slime glue – 180 ml
  • Water – 60 ml
  • Baking soda – 1.5 tsp
  • Lens solution (must contain boric acid) – 2 tbsp
  • Sago/tapioca pearls (uncooked)
  • Blue and silver glitter
  • Blue food coloring

Let’s Make it:

  1. Pour the glue into a bowl — this is your slime base. Let your little one help with the squeezing for some hands-on fun.
  2. Add a few drops of blue food coloring and mix the glue until it blend into a soft, icy blue.
  3. Stir in the water and sprinkle in the baking soda to give your slime that perfect, stretchy texture.
  4. Add glitter and tiny sago pearls — they’ll look just like sparkling snow and little snowballs.
  5. Slowly mix in the lens solution and watch as the slime starts to pull away from the bowl and turn into a squishy, stretchy masterpiece.
  6. Let it rest for 10 minutes (if you can wait!) or keep mixing for 5 — either way, you’ll end up with the perfect winter slime to play and explore.

Why We Love It:

  • Encourages imaginative play and storytelling during slime time.
