Soaring Seagulls

Let’s make our own flying seagulls—simple to craft and perfect for a little seaside adventure at home.

You’ll Need:

  • Paper plates
  • Scissors
  • Black and orange markers or paint
  • Glue
  • Pencil

Let’s Make them:

  • Cut one paper plate into two wing shapes and a second paper plate into the seagull’s body and tail.
  • Use black paint or markers to colour the wingtips and tail feathers, then add an orange beak and legs.
  • Glue the wings onto the body and attach the tail. Draw the eyes, then hang your seagulls with string or tape them to a wall to create a flying flock.

Why We Love It:

  • Encourages curiosity about birds, flight and seaside animals.
  • Sparks creative thinking as kids design their own flock of seagulls.
  • Easy setup with everyday materials and a fun way to keep your kid engaged.
