Meet the Feeling Friends

A playful way to explore emotions and talk about feelings naturally.

You’ll Need:

  • Swimming noodles (cut into small pieces)
  • Yarn (different colours)
  • Googly eyes
  • Marker or paint
  • Glue

Let’s Make them:

  1. Cut the swimming noodle into small, even pieces.
  2. Draw different facial expressions on each piece (happy, sad, surprised, worried, excited).
  3. Glue on the googly eyes and attach yarn for hair. Let everything dry, then talk about each face together. Encourage your kid to act out emotions through play. For example, Miss White Hair noticed Mr Purple Hair was scared and asked why. He said he felt sad because Mr Yellow Hair was angry.

Why We Love It:

  • Makes abstract emotions visual and easy to understand.
  • Uses simple, recycled materials.
  • A simple activity that leads to conversations about emotions.
  • Turns everyday play into a shared, bonding moment.
