Leaf Bugs

Who knew fallen leaves could come alive? Bring nature’s colors to life with your own colony of adorable leaf bugs.

You’ll Need:

  • Colorful autumn leaves (different shapes and sizes)
  • White paper or cardstock
  • Black marker or pen
  • Glue

Let’s Make the Magic Happen!

  1. Collect a variety of leaves—long, round and tiny ones make the best mix.
  2. Arrange the leaves on your paper, glue them down and use a black marker to add cheerful faces, legs and fun little patterns right on the leaves.

Why We Love It:

  • Combines outdoor exploration (leaf collecting) with indoor creativity.
  • Builds fine motor skills through drawing and gluing.
  • Encourages imaginative play—kids can invent their own bug species.
  • Quick, easy, and low-mess craft with a big “wow” factor.
