Feelings Play Pouch

A calm, hands-on activity that helps little ones learn to recognize emotions.

You’ll Need:

  • A small drawstring bag or pouch
  • Small, flat stones (roughly the same size)
  • A marker pen

Let’s Make it:

  1. On each stone, gently draw a different emotion face—happy, sad, scared, surprised, angry, excited or bored.
  2. On the pouch, draw a simple body shape, leaving the head large enough to place the stones inside.
  3. Place all the stones into the bag and invite your little one to pick one out at a time and talk about the feeling together—name it, make the face and connect it to little moments from your kids day that they can understand.

Why We Love It:

  • Teaches emotional awareness in a simple, hands-on way.
  • Creates meaningful bonding through conversation and play.
  • Supports language, empathy and early social development.
